American Legion Post 569 Veterans Day Army Luncheon
After participating in the Veterans Day Parade in Fort Worth (in the rain) participants from the Army, Texas Army National Guard and Texas Guard all enjoyed lunch hosted by South Fort Worth American Legion Post 569. Guests included the 1st Cavalry Division, Horse Cavalry Detachment (active duty Army) from Fort Hood, the 36th Infantry Division Band (Texas Army National Guard) from Camp Mabry, LTC Richard Crossley, Jr. USA (ret), Director FWISD JROTC Programs and the parade Grand Marshal MG Anthony Woods, Commanding General of the Texas State Guard, leader of the premier state guard force in the nation.
The post provided a warm place to dry off out of the wind and by all accounts, a wonderful meal for the soldiers before traveling back to home station.
