HOPS AND PROPS
at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum
April 29, 2017

All entities from all our posts were invited, and encouraged to hang out, take turns, visit and generally be part of this "NO LONGER A SECRET-SPREAD THE WORD" outreach event. It was a great turn out even with the threatening weather (weather turned out great also). Over 700 paid attendees exceeding last year’s event. Lots of families circulating around the beautifully preserved and/or restored vintage aircraft with our booth nestled in-between.
Families from all over the Metroplex attended the annual Hops and Props aircraft fly-in and craft beer festival to enjoy airplanes, live music, craft beer, vendors, food and fun. American Legion Auxiliary was a sponsor of this event. Clint and Christine Willesen represented American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit 626.
The American Legion Twelfth District Public Affairs Chairman would like to express great appreciation to the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution and Uncle Rons Beef Jerky for setting up our booth and the great staff at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum for taking it down and loading it in the pick-up.
