A day set aside to remember and honor the bravery of the four U.S. Army chaplains who gave their lives to save others when the troop ship USAT Dorchester sank during World War II.

Mar 24-25 Cops for Kids Cook-off, car show, 5k and music festival, Panther Island Pavilion, 395 Purcey St, Fort Worth, Texas

The Fort Worth Police Officers’ Association and Fort Worth Cops for Kids invite you to their annual fundraising event, March 24-25. The event kicks off Friday night with a benefit concert and continues through Saturday with more music and a BBQ cook-off with more than $7500 in cash and prizes to win.

Many Americans celebrate Armed Forces Day annually on the third Saturday of May. It is a day to pay tribute to men and women who serve the United States’ armed forces. Armed Forces Day is also part of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May.
